Every platform has different technical requirements and different expectations for what performs well. AIMS exports in platform-optimised formats — so you're always uploading the right file, at the right size, without guessing.
| Format | Best for | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| PNG | Ads, product pages, any high-quality static use | Lossless quality, larger file size. Use when quality is priority. |
| JPG / JPEG | Marketplace listings (Amazon, Etsy), email | Smaller file size with minimal visible quality loss. Max quality setting recommended. |
| WEBP | Website and e-commerce page speed | Smallest file size, supported by all modern browsers. Best for web performance. |
| Format | Codec | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| MP4 (H.264) | H.264 | Universal compatibility. Works on every platform. Default choice. |
| MP4 (H.265 / HEVC) | H.265 | Smaller file size at same quality. Supported by TikTok, YouTube, Meta. |
| MOV | ProRes / H.264 | Best for editing in Final Cut Pro or Premiere before posting. |
Export at maximum quality and let the platform compress
Never pre-compress your video before uploading. Always export at the highest quality AIMS produces, then upload directly to the platform. Meta, TikTok, and YouTube all have their own compression pipelines that are optimised for their own players. Double-compressing a video (once by you, once by the platform) degrades quality significantly.
In the export panel, click "Platform Presets" to see one-click configurations for each major platform. Selecting a preset automatically sets the correct aspect ratio, resolution, file format, and frame rate:
Meta (Facebook / Instagram Feed): 1080×1080 or 1080×1350, MP4 H.264, 30fps, up to 4 GB
Meta Stories / Reels: 1080×1920, MP4 H.264, 30fps
TikTok: 1080×1920, MP4 H.264, 24–60fps, max 500 MB
YouTube In-Stream: 1920×1080, MP4 H.264, 30fps
YouTube Shorts: 1080×1920, MP4 H.264
Pinterest: 1000×1500 (2:3) for Pins, 1080×1920 for Story Pins
Snapchat: 1080×1920, MP4, max 32 MB for Snap Ads
Always export at 1080p or higher. Platforms display ads at different resolutions depending on device and connection, but they always start from the highest quality you upload. Uploading a 720p video means even viewers on high-resolution screens see a softer image.
For images, export at the resolution you're generating — typically 2000×2000px or larger for product photos. Downsampling happens automatically when the image is served; you always want the source to be larger than needed.
To export multiple assets at once, go to Export History, select the assets using the checkboxes, and click "Export Selected." You can choose a single format for all assets, or use "Export by Platform" to get a ZIP file organised into platform-named folders — one subfolder per platform, each containing assets in the correct format for that destination.
